Why Choose The Progressive Riding Program?
PRP is totally committed to a high quality high value program. Progressive Riding Program is not the least expensive lesson
facility in the area, but is truly the best value for The Total Horsemanship Approach to Riding!
To that aim, our riding instructor
Mrs Judy De Michele is double certified. The first certification was awarded after a two year course at Southern Seminary Junior
college in 1965. The second certification was awarded in 2011 after completing the requirements established by the United States
Hunter Jumper Association . The requirements include a signed commitment to the USHJA code of conduct:
This certification means that the client will receive quality, current
instruction to maximize potential for learning in a timely and safe fashion.
The client will be treated
in an ethical manner and will receive up-to-date instruction as maintaining that certification requires the trainer to participate
in continuing education seminars and clinic held by the USHJA.
The Progressive Riding Program is different because every student will be assumed to be a future horse owner. This means there is a lot
of information that every student is going to have to know if that possibility is going to come true. The student will not just learn
to ride, but to completely care for a horse. At the end of the lesson plan the student will know full horse management!
Students will learn riding theory based on American Style Hunt Seat as well as practical horse training and management techniques. The
riders selected for this program are expected to set personal goals and strive to achieve those goals.
